I was hanging out with Crazy Larry this past weekend and we got to visit with some of my friends from Africa.
I haven’t seen them in a long time but they didn’t seem to have much to say. They didn’t seem to be moving around much either. I’m not sure what was wrong with them. I think they were just tired from staying out late on Friday night at the Party for the Planet at the San Francisco Zoo.
Crazy Larry caused some problems when he managed to slip away for a while. I really thought he was gone this time. Turned out he was just hiding in some flowers. He got the crazy idea that he was camouflaged and that no one could see him. Even though I could see him, and told him so, he kept standing there like he was invisible.
I had to jump in and push him out of the flower to get him moving again. There really is something wrong with him!
After my friends left we hung around in the sun for a while.
By the end of the day I was exhausted. Crazy Larry and I hung out in this tree for a while to take a nap. The one thing you learn early on in Africa is that if you’re small, you need to nap in trees. You never know when a lion is going to come along and try to take a bite out of you!
After our nap we watched the sun set and called it a day.
